Dr. Thomas Kohn
Dr.Thomas Kohn is a Dermasurgeon born in Hungary and raised in Montreal. He obtained his B.Science from McGill University. He attended pre-med in Toulouse, France and attended medical school at the University Of Calgary in Alberta. He trained in dermatology in Quebec City and at the University Of Iowa. He obtained further training in dermatological surgery including hair transplantation, Mohs surgery, and laser surgery in New York City, Miami, Paris, Minneapolis, Toronto, Madison Wisconsin, and Cincinnati Ohio.
Dr.Kohn is currently the director of a training program for dermatological surgery at McGill University offering fellowship-training in hair transplantation. Dr.Kohn is a frequent lecturer in hair transplantation in international forums. He has been a featured speaker at the French Society Of Cosmetic Surgery, at the Quebec Dermatological Society, and at the French Society Of Dermatological Surgery.
Dr.Kohn demonstrates his up to date techniques at surgical workshops yearly. The unique advantage at Dr.Kohns hair transplant clinic is a highly qualified staff of perfectionists with more than an average of 15 years experience each. The staff consists of registered nurses and medical technicians. The clinic prides itself on excellence. Dr. Thusanth Thuraisingam
Dr. Thusanth Thuraisingam, MD, PhD, FRCPC, FAAD obtained his Bachelor of Science in Interdepartmental Honours in Immunology at McGill University before joining the PhD program at the McGill University Health Center under the supervision of Dr. Danuta Radzioch. His PhD research involved studies of the signalling pathways important to immune system regulation of cutaneous wound healing. He then went on to complete his medical studies at the University of Montreal. He returned back to McGill University for his dermatology residency.
During the course of residency, he had developed an interest in hair disorders and worked with several prominent hair specialists around the world. After completing his residency, he pursued fellowship training in procedural dermatology at McGill University under Dr. Thomas Kohn with a focus on surgical management of patients affected with hair loss and research fellowship in Melanoma. He has published over 20 peer-reviewed papers and maintains a keen interest in clinical and bench-to-bedside research.
He has been invited to speak at local, national and international meetings. As an associate professor of dermatology at University of Ottawa he enjoys teaching medical student and residents. He practices dermatology in both Montreal and Ottawa with a particular interest in hair disorders and surgical dermatology.
